Second Stage Round 13: Tsmoki-Minsk R. - Grodno-93 59-70

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Minsk. Second ranked Grodno-93 faced 4th placed Tsmoki-Minsk R.. Guests from Grodno (17-6) defeated host Tsmoki-Minsk R. (14-8) 70-59. It looked good early as Tsmoki-Minsk R. took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Grodno-93 had a 25-20 second period charge getting the lead and Tsmoki-Minsk R. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-70. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian point guard Maksim Miroshnichenko (182-96) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Ukrainian forward Ivan Kalyaev (200-87) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Vadzim Stubeda (205-0) answered with 9 points and 14 rebounds and Daniil Borisevich (193-1) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tsmoki-Minsk R.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Grodno-93 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-6 record behind leader GOCOR-Sozh. Tsmoki-Minsk R. at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Grodno-93 will play against league's leader COR-Borisfen in Mogilev in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tsmoki-Minsk R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki II.
