No shocking result in a game when third ranked Universitario de Ferrol (16-5) defeated at home 7th ranked Real Celta Vigo (12-9) 65-47 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Macy Miller (183, college: S.Dakota St.) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Marta Tudanca (182-90) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Universitario de Ferrol players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian forward Elo Edeferioka (188-93, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 7 points and 9 rebounds and center Iciar Velasco (185-86) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Universitario de Ferrol maintains third place in Group A with 16-5 record having four points less than leader Estudiantes. Real Celta Vigo lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Universitario de Ferrol will face Pozuelo (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Real Celta Vigo will play against Real Canoe (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
