There was no surprise in Washington where 3rd placed Wizards (23-40) were defeated by first ranked Heat (41-23) 100-89 on Sunday. Heat dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Wizards' 14 and made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Wizards 46-29 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Heat made 8 blocks. Wizards were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Bam Adebayo (208-97, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Duncan Robinson (203-94, college: Michigan) helped adding 23 points and 7 rebounds. Four Heat players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican-American point guard Shabazz Napier (185-91, college: UConn) responded with 27 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and Bradley Beal (196-93, college: Florida) scored 23 points and 6 assists. Wizards' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Heat maintains first place with 41-23 record. Loser Wizards keep the third position with 40 games lost.
