Regular Season Round 20: Chania - Kronos AD 63-48

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Chania (14-6) defeated at home 8th ranked Kronos AD (7-13) 63-48 on Sunday. Chania forced 24 Kronos AD turnovers. Strangely Kronos AD outrebounded Chania 45-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Eleutheria Prasianaki (-1) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Eutuhia Dermitzaki (-2) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Kayla Gordon (183-95, college: Jacksonville) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds and international forward Eleni Bosgana (193-3) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chania have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Eleutheria M. Kronos AD at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Dafni Agioy. Chania will meet bottom-ranked Melissia (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kronos AD will play against Sporting and hope to secure a win.
