Regular Season Round 131: Boston C. - OKC Thunder 104-105

Important game to mention about took place in Boston. Third ranked Thunder (40-24) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Celtics (42-21) 105-104 on Sunday evening. Thunder brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Celtics were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Chris Paul (183-85, college: Wake Forest) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). German-Gambian point guard Dennis Schroeder (181-93) accounted for 27 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Swingman Gordon Hayward (203-90, college: Butler) came up with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Marcus Smart (193-94, college: Oklahoma St.) added 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Celtics in the defeat. Five Celtics players scored in double figures. Celtics' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Thunder have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 40-24 record having just two points less than leader Toronto R. Celtics at the other side keep the second position with 21 games lost.
