Regular Season Round 25: Ogniwo Szcz. - Sudety 70-124

Very predictable result in Szczecin where second ranked Sudety (19-4) smashed 11th ranked Ogniwo Szcz. (7-15) 124-70 on Sunday. Sudety well out of reach of Ogniwo Szcz. shooting 71.0 percent from the field. They outrebounded Ogniwo Szcz. 36-22 including a 28-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sudety shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 58.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Ogniwo Szcz.'s players. Rafal Niesobski (189-82) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) for the winners and guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) chipped in 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Five Sudety players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Karol Pytys (202-85) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Karol Nowacki (194-91) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sudety. They maintain second place in Group D with 19-4 record having just two points less than leader Dziki Wwa. Loser Ogniwo Szcz. dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Sudety will face Zary (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ogniwo Szcz. will play against Katy Wroclaw (#4) in Katy Wroclawskie and hope to win that game.
