Regular Season Round 6: Tampa Bay T. - Owensboro T. 120-105

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Tampa Bay T. (4-5) won against at home 7th ranked Owensboro T. (4-6) 120-105. Tampa Bay T. forced 21 Owensboro T. turnovers and outrebounded them 51-33 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tampa Bay T. shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists. The best player for the winners was Lebanese Bassel Harfouch (193-93, college: Alcorn St.) who had a triple-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Guard Tyshawn Edwards (196-86, college: W.Texas A&M) chipped in 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Davon Hayes (198-92, college: SE Louisiana) who recorded 24 points and 6 rebounds and guard Corey Wilford (188-91, college: SEMO) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Tampa Bay T. moved-up to seventh place. Owensboro T. at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Tampa Bay T.'s next round opponent will be Gulf Coast L. (#9). Owensboro T. will play against LewisvilleYJ and hope to win that game.
