Regular Season Round 6: Dallas Skyline - Tri-State Admirals 107-111

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Dallas Skyline (9-4) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Tri-State Admirals (5-3) 111-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dallas Skyline. Tri-State Admirals made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Dallas Skyline turnovers. 30 personal fouls committed by Dallas Skyline helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for point guard Corey Taite (180-96, college: Goldey-Beacom, agency: Green Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward James Currington (201-91, college: SE Louisiana) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Tri-State Admirals' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Charlie Shorter (185-90, college: MidAmerica Ch.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Terry Maston (203-95, college: Baylor) added 25 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Dallas Skyline. Four Tri-State Admirals and five Dallas Skyline players scored in double figures. Tri-State Admirals have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Columbus C. Dallas Skyline at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Tri-State Admirals is looking forward to face league's second-placed Indy Express in Indianapolis in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dallas Skyline will play against Gulf Coast L. and is hoping to win this game.
