Regular Season Round 22: Eanna - Neptune 98-88

Rather predictable result in Dublin where fifth ranked Eanna (13-8) defeated 8th ranked Neptune (9-12) 98-88 on Sunday. They outrebounded Neptune 57-39 including 17 on the offensive glass. Eanna looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Neptune's players. Neptune was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian forward Marko Tomic (201, college: Barry) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Stefan Zecevic (196-93, college: Keiser) chipped in 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Spanish forward Nil Sabita (200) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eanna have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with UCD Marian and Templeogue. Neptune lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Eanna's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Dublin Templeogue.
