Regular Season Round 133: Washington W. - New York K. 122-115

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Wizards (24-40) beat 5th ranked Knicks (20-45) in Washington 122-115 on Tuesday. Wizards made 38-of-46 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Knicks were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Bradley Beal (196-93, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording 39 points (!!!) and 7 assists. Puerto Rican-American point guard Shabazz Napier (185-91, college: UConn) contributed with 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. French point guard Frank Ntilikina (196-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists and Bobby Portis (208-95, college: Arkansas) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Knicks. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wizards maintains third place with 24-40 record having twenty points less than leader Toronto R. Loser Knicks keep the fifth position with 45 games lost. Wizards will have a break next day. Knicks will play on the road against Hawks (#5) in Atlanta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
