No shocking result in a game when third ranked Sao Paulo (20-6) smashed at home 12th ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (11-15) 99-64 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Paschoalotto/Bauru 54-31 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sao Paulo looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Paschoalotto/Bauru's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Renan Lenz (206-90, college: Utah) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Daviyon Draper (201-94, college: FIU) who recorded 22 points and 8 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Lucas Faggiano (188-89, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Sao Paulo. They maintain third place with 20-6 record behind leader Flamengo. Paschoalotto/Bauru lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Sao Paulo will face SKY/Basquete (#15) in Aldeota in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play on the road against Mogi in Mogi das Cruzes and hope to win that game.
