Second Stage Round 14: RGUOR - Brest 83-88

Bottom-ranked RGUOR is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to eighth ranked Brest (10-12) 88-83 on Wednesday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 27-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) supported him with 28 points and 4 steals. Brest's coach Alexandr Fedorchyk used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by point guard Timur Michailov (196-4) did not help to save the game for RGUOR. Forward Daniil Kosko (189-4) added 17 points and 13 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brest maintains eighth position with 10-12 record. Loser RGUOR still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Brest will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. RGUOR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena RCOP Tsmoki.
