Regular Season Round 25: AZS AWF Mick. - Wisla Krakow 95-90

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Wisla Krakow (21-2) in Katowice on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked AZS AWF Mick. (17-5) 95-90. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Wisla Krakow. AZS AWF Mick. made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Wisla Krakow helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Wiktor Rajewicz (180-0) stepped up and scored 29 points for the winners and power forward Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Four AZS AWF Mick. players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Maciej Maj (203-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and power forward Jakub Zaczek (204-96) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. AZS AWF Mick. have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain third place in Group C with 17-5 record having five points less than leader Dziki Wwa. Wisla Krakow at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with AZS AGH KR. AZS AWF Mick. are looking forward to face Jaroslaw (#6) at home in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play against Rybnik (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
