Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Reykjavik: KR (#4) and Valur (#10). Valur was defeated at home 81-90 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. KR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) accounted for 22 points and 5 assists. Nigerian-American forward PJ Alawoya (203-88, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and Israeli-French point guard Naor Sharon (193-95) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Valur in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KR have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion (14-7) moved-up to third place, which they share with Tindastoll. Valur at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. KR's next round opponent will be Thor AK (#11) in Akureyri and are hoping to win another game. Valur will play on the road against Haukar in Hafnarfjordur and hope to win that game.
