Regular Season Round 11: Pauian - Yulon Luxgen 113-122

The most interesting game of round 11 in the SBL was a home defeat of 4th placed Pauian (11-10) to second ranked Yulon Luxgen (12-9) 122-113 in the game for the second place. Yulon Luxgen shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Yulon Luxgen had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. Yulon Luxgen looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Marcus Keene (180-95, college: Cent Michigan) who led his team to a victory scoring 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) helped adding 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Lithuanian swingman Edvinas Seskus (196-95) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international swingman Wei-Ju Chien (185-92) scored 26 points. Four Yulon Luxgen and five Pauian players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yulon Luxgen have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-9 record having just two points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Pauian at the other side dropped to the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Bank of Taiwan. Yulon Luxgen are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Jutai Techn. (#5) in the next round. Pauian will play again against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
