Regular Season Round 40: Osaka E. - Shimane SM 105-87

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Shimane Magic (11-29) was defeated on the road by second ranked Osaka E. (25-15) 105-87 on Saturday. Osaka E. outrebounded Shimane Magic 36-20 including a 13-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. The former international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American power forward Sean O'Mara (208-95, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Five Osaka E. players scored in double figures. American center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) produced 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Hiromu Kitagawa (182-91) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Osaka E. maintains second position with 25-15 record having four points less than leader Tochigi B. Shimane Magic lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth place with 29 games lost. Osaka E. will face again Shimane Magic (#6) at home in the next round.
