Rather predictable result when second ranked Osaka E. (26-15) won against at home 6th ranked Shimane Magic (11-30) 93-80. Osaka E. players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Takuya Hashimoto (186-94) chipped in 24 points and 6 assists. Five Osaka E. players scored in double figures. American center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and guard Hiromu Kitagawa (182-91) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Osaka E. maintains second place with 26-15 record having four points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Shimane Magic lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with 30 games lost.
