Monkey Kings (0-1) recorded a loss on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (1-0) 112-95. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions outrebounded Monkey Kings 54-36 including 18 on the offensive glass. The former international center Jinqiu Hu (208-97) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. The former international Sun Minghui (192-96) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Siyao Sun (208, college: CS Los Angeles) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
