Sixth ranked CB Canarias (1-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th ranked Joventut (1-3) 82-80 on Tuesday evening. Joventut was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 26-15 third quarter run of CB Canarias. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Joventut was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Danish guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and the former international forward Daniel Diez (202-93) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four CB Canarias players scored in double figures. At the losing side Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) responded with 18 points and 5 assists and North Macedonian point guard Nenad Dimitrijevic (186-98) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. CB Canarias maintains sixth position in Endesa with 1-3 record. CB Canarias will play against league's leader FC Barcelona on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Joventut will play against the league's second-placed Baskonia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
