It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Tamir Blatt (187-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists. American-Puerto Rican swingman John Holland (195-88, college: Boston U.) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. American guard DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's, agency: 3Eye) came up with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: GMU) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Rishon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Jerusalem have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-4 record having just two points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Rishon lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with ten games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rishon will play against Hapoel Holon (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
