The most surprising game was the first loss of Long-Lions (2-1) on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by sixteenth ranked Monkey Kings (2-2) 105-103. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Long-Lions. Monkey Kings made 30-of-37 free shots (81.1 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Long-Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Joseph Young (188-92, college: Oregon) scored 55 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) chipped in 12 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Kai Guo (188-95) with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Taiwanese guard Ying-Chun Chen (185-93, college: Liberty) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Monkey Kings moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Shenzhen L. and Qingdao E. Long-Lions at the other side keep the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Monkey Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Long-Lions will play on the road against Sharks (#19) in Shanghai and are hoping to win this game.
