Very expected game when 18th ranked Sharks (1-4) were defeated on the road by tenth ranked Beijing Ducks (3-2) 86-76 on Sunday. Beijing Ducks outrebounded Sharks 47-28 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nigerian-American power forward Ekpe Udoh (208-87, college: Baylor) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and Taiwanese-American point guard Jeremy Lin (190-88, college: Harvard) chipped in 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Hanlin Dong (208-91) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Ray McCallum (190-91, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Wasserman) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Beijing Ducks moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Sharks keep the eighteenth position with four games lost.
