Regular Season Round 24: Beer Sheva - H.Tel-Aviv 81-84

Date: June 29, 2020
A very interesting game took place in Beer Sheva. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 10th ranked Beer Sheva (9-15) to eleventh ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (10-14) 84-81 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Beer Sheva. Hapoel Tel-Aviv shot 31 for 44 from the free-throw line, while Beer Sheva only scored eleven points from the stripe. 29 personal fouls committed by Beer Sheva helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Nigerian power forward Talib Zanna (206-90, college: Pittsburgh) who scored that evening 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and international Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by Nigerian-Canadian guard Caleb Agada (196-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Blacktop Management) did not help to save the game for Beer Sheva. American forward Evan Bruinsma (202-92, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Inception Sports) added 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Beer Sheva players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nahariya and Nes-Ziona. Beer Sheva at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost.
