A very interesting game took place in Nahariya. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 9th ranked Ironi Nahariya (11-15) to eleventh ranked Beer Sheva (11-15) 69-67 in the fight for the seventh place. Beer Sheva forced 19 Ironi Nahariya turnovers and outrebounded them 48-33 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nigerian-Canadian guard Caleb Agada (196-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Blacktop Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) contributed with 17 points and 4 steals for the winners. Beer Sheva's coach Rami Hadar allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Cape Verdean-Portuguese Ivan Almeida (198-89, college: Stonehill) replied with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Diamon Simpson (204-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Ironi Nahariya. Beer Sheva moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Ironi Nahariya. Beer Sheva's next round opponent will be higher ranked Galil Gilboa (#5) in Rosh Pina and it may be quite challenging game.
