No shocking result in a game in Urumqi where seventh ranked Xinjiang FT (7-3) outleveled 10th ranked Brave Dragons (4-5) 107-71 on Friday. They outrebounded Brave Dragons 56-33 including a 43-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Xinjiang FT looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Brave Dragons' players. Brave Dragons were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international center Zhou Qi (217-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Tal Co (191-91) helped adding 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Xinjiang FT players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center PengFei Yan (207-93) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Tian Guisen (190-92) scored 17 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Xinjiang FT. They maintain seventh place with 7-3 record. Loser Brave Dragons keep the tenth position with five games lost. Xinjiang FT will face Leopards (#8) in Shenzhen in the next round. Brave Dragons will play on the road against Beijing Ducks and hope to win that game.
