The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Maccabi T-A (24-4) in Tel-Aviv on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Rishon (17-11) 86-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi T-A. Rishon forced 19 Maccabi T-A turnovers. Strangely Maccabi T-A outrebounded Rishon 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. American guard DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's, agency: 3Eye) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Zach Hankins (211-96, college: Xavier) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Rishon players scored in double figures. International forward Deni Avdija (206-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and international Yovel Zoosman (200-98) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Maccabi T-A's coach Giannis Sfairopoulos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rishon maintains third place with 17-11 record having seven points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Defending champion Maccabi T-A still keeps top position with four games lost.
