The game in Jinjiang supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Golden Bulls (9-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Sturgeons (8-4). Golden Bulls smashed Sturgeons 136-107. Golden Bulls made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Golden Bulls outrebounded Sturgeons 51-30 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Sturgeons helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Qian Wu (190-94) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. Shuaipeng Cheng (-99) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Golden Bulls players scored in double figures. The former international Zhelin Wang (214-94) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds and American point guard Ty Lawson (180-87, college: UNC) added 34 points (!!!), 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Golden Bulls. They maintain third place with 9-2 record having six points less than leader Guangdong ST, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Sturgeons at the other side keep the sixth position with four games lost. Golden Bulls' next round opponent will be league's leader Guandong Tigers in Dongguan and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sturgeons will play at home against the league's second-placed Xinjiang FT (#2) and hope to win that game.
