Bottom-ranked Pioneers is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 12th consecutive match to ninth ranked Eagles (6-7) 113-108. They made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Eagles players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Pioneers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Dapeng Zhao (195-90) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 assists for the winners and forward Shao Yinglun (203-96) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Deshaui Shi (192-92) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Yi Shi (182-96) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Eagles maintains ninth place with 6-7 record, which they share with Nanjing TX MK. Pioneers lost their twelfth game in a row. They still close the standings with 12 games lost. Eagles will play against Brave Dragons (#14) in Taiyuan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pioneers will play at home against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#5) and hope to get finally their first victory.
