There was no surprise when 9th ranked Leopards (5-7) lost to fifth ranked Beijing Ducks (9-2) in Shenzhen 81-90 on Thursday. Taiwanese-American point guard Jeremy Lin (190-88, college: Harvard) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points. Xiaochuan Di contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Yang Linyi (190-95) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Zijie Shen (205-97) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Leopards. Four Leopards players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Beijing Ducks. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Zhejiang Ch. Leopards lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Beijing Ducks will face Long-Lions (#16) in Guangzhou in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Leopards will play on the road against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#5) in Hangzhou and hope to win that game.
