Pioneers has finally registered their first victory this season after 13 consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Bayi Rockets (3-10) 103-96 on Sunday. Pioneers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Siyu He (-97) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Tian Yu (200-80) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Yong Ma (198-98) who recorded 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Tianyu Xiang (185-92) added 15 points, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively. Five Pioneers and four Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Bayi Rockets' coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pioneers maintains twentieth position with 1-13 record. It was Bayi Rockets' fourth loss in a row. They keep the eighteenth place with ten games lost. Pioneers will meet higher ranked Xinjiang FT (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Bayi Rockets will play against Leopards (#12) and hope to secure a win.
