The game between closely ranked teams ended with 19th ranked Bayi Rockets' (4-11) road loss to eighteenth ranked Blue Whales (3-12) 84-101 on Wednesday. Blue Whales looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Bayi Rockets were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Yuanyu Li (206-91) fired a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Zhenliang Yuan (206-98) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds. Five Blue Whales players scored in double figures. The former international center Hao Fu (206-97) produced 22 points and 6 rebounds and guard Tianyu Xiang (185-92) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Bayi Rockets' coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Blue Whales went down to nineteenth position due to points difference. Bayi Rockets lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the seventeenth place with 11 games lost.
