There was no surprise in Qingdao where 13th ranked Eagles (7-9) were defeated by third ranked Golden Bulls (12-3) 102-85 on Wednesday. Golden Bulls made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international guard Qian Wu (190-94) fired 20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Center Junhao Lai (204-95) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Liu Chuanxing (190-97) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Wang Ruize (198-95) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Golden Bulls and four Eagles players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Golden Bulls maintains third place with 12-3 record having just three points less than leader Guangdong ST. Loser Eagles dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost.
