First defeat of league's leader Cougars (0-1) against Flames (1-0) 84-68 was the most important game of the last round. Flames forced 25 Cougars turnovers. 32 personal fouls committed by Cougars helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Paris Duffield (171) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. Swingman Ariana Hetherington (176) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Haylee De Sousa replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jodee Sontay (179-85) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Cougars.
