Regular Season Round 139: Utah Jazz - LA Lakers 108-116

An interesting game for Lakers (51-15) which played road game in Salt Lake City against 3rd placed Jazz (41-26). First ranked Lakers managed to get a 8-point victory 116-108. Lakers made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Jazz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Jazz was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for center Anthony Davis (208-93, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists. LeBron James (203-84) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Lakers players scored in double figures. Guard Donovan Mitchell (190-96, college: Louisville) answered with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Mike Conley (185-87, college: Ohio St.) added 24 points and 8 assists in the effort for Jazz. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lakers maintains first place with 51-15 record. Loser Jazz dropped to the second position with 26 games lost.
