An interesting game for Nuggets (46-22) which played road game in San Antonio against 4th placed Spurs (29-38). First ranked Nuggets managed to get a 6-point victory 132-126. Nuggets made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Nuggets outrebounded Spurs 46-35 including 32 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Michael Porter Jr. (208-98, college: Missouri) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds. Serbian center Nikola Jokic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Derrick White (196-94, college: Colorado) who recorded 23 points and 7 assists and swingman Rudy Gay (203-86, college: UConn) added 24 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Spurs' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nuggets maintains first place with 46-22 record. Spurs at the other side keep the fourth position with 38 games lost. Nuggets' next day opponent will be Trail Blazers (#4) in Portland.
