Regular Season Round 9: Guelph - Fraser Valley 70-84

The biggest surprise of round 9 was guest Fraser Valley's (#2) road victory over Guelph (#3) 84-70 on Wednesday evening. Fraser Valley forced 19 Guelph turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Guelph helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Malcolm Duvivier (190-95, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Jahenns-Ley Manigat (186-91, college: Creighton) chipped in 20 points and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward TreDarius McCallum (201-95, college: DePaul) who recorded 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kimbal Mackenzie (185-96, college: Bucknell) added 12 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Guelph's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fraser Valley maintains second place with 4-2 record behind leader Edmonton. Guelph at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Hamilton and Ottawa.
