First-ranked Nuggets (47-24) were very close to win a game against first ranked Lakers (52-18). Lakers managed to secure only three-point victory 124-121. However their fans expected easier game. Lakers players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. LeBron James (203-84) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Anthony Davis (208-93, college: Kentucky) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Swingman PJ Dozier (198-96, college: S.Carolina) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and point guard Monte Morris (190-95, college: Iowa St.) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Four Lakers and five Nuggets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Lakers maintains first position with 52-18 record which they share with defeated Nuggets. Nuggets at the other side still keep top place with 24 games lost.
