Fifth ranked Mercury (5-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Wings (3-5). Mercury defeated Wings 91-79. Mercury players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a good game for center Brittney Griner (203-90, college: Baylor, agency: Wasserman) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Skylar Diggins-Smith (175-90, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Four Mercury players scored in double figures. German forward Satou Sabally (193-98, college: Oregon, agency: Wasserman) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Arike Ogunbowale (173-97, college: Notre Dame) added 22 points in the effort for Wings. Wings' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mercury keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Chicago S. Wings at the other side keep the sixth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
