Fourth ranked Trail Blazers (34-39) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best Mavericks (43-31) 134-131 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mavericks. Trail Blazers made 27-of-29 charity shots (93.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Mavericks 48-37 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Damian Lillard (190-90, college: Weber St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 61 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists (went 18 for 18 at the free throw line !!!). Carmelo Anthony (203-84, college: Syracuse) helped adding 26 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) scored 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Five Mavericks players scored in double figures. Mavericks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trail Blazers maintains fourth place with 34-39 record. Mavericks at the other side keep the second position with 31 games lost.
