Second ranked Thunder (44-27) saved a 1-point victory at home edging top-ranked Heat (44-28) 116-115 in the fight for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Thunder made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by forward Darius Bazley (206-0) who scored that evening 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Chris Paul (183-85, college: Wake Forest) supported him with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 30 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by guard Tyler Herro (196-0, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Heat. Slovenian point guard Goran Dragic (190-86) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Five Thunder and four Heat players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Thunder keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Houston R. Heat at the other side still keeps top place with 28 games lost. They share the position with Indiana P.
