There was no surprise when 7th ranked Sharks (1-4) were outleveled by fourth ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles (3-1) in Narrabeen 85-65 on Saturday. Forward Alex Delaney (183-95, college: SFC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Kitty Henderson contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players scored in double figures. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Forward Courtney West (193, college: Portland St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and Madeleine Norris added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Sharks. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles moved-up to second place in League. Loser Sharks keep the seventh position with four games lost. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will face Nationals (#8) in Canberra in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Sharks will play at home against Hunters and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
