Regular Season Round 5: NGC Seahawks - Gold Coast R. 70-93

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Rollers (1-2) crushed bottom-ranked Seahawks (0-2) in Runaway Bay 93-70 on Saturday. Rollers made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 29 Seahawks turnovers. Seahawks were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Levi Frankland (193, college: CS Monterey) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Swingman Jalen Patton-Croker (193-99, college: Southeast CC) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Jesse Lomax answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Jordi Anger added 12 points in the effort for Seahawks. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rollers maintains ninth place in League with 1-2 record. Loser Seahawks still closes the standings with two games lost. Rollers will face league's leader Roar in Brisbane in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Seahawks will play on the road against the league's second-placed Phoenix (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
