Regular Season Round 5: NGC Seahawks - Gold Coast R. 59-75

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Rollers (2-1) beat bottom-ranked Seahawks (0-2) in Runaway Bay 75-59 on Saturday. Carleigh Patrick (-98) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Lilly Rotunno contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Rollers players scored in double figures. Guard Aimee Durbidge (180, college: N.Idaho JC) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Emily Allen (183, college: Montana St.) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Seahawks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Rollers went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Seahawks still closes the standings with two games lost. Rollers will face Roar (#6) in Brisbane in the next round. Seahawks will play on the road against the league's second-placed Sunshine CP (#2) in Cotton Tree and hope to get finally their first victory.
