Regular Season Round 6: SC Phoenix - NGC Seahawks 54-72

Very important is a home loss of first ranked Sunshine CP (2-1) against eleventh ranked Seahawks (1-2) on Saturday night. Host Sunshine CP was defeated by Seahawks in Cotton Tree 72-54. Seahawks forced 25 Sunshine CP turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Lauren Jansen (178-92) who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Emily Allen (183, college: Montana St.) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Amy Browne (178-90) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Ashleigh Frampton (180-92, college: WWU) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Seahawks left bottom position moving up to tenth place in League. Loser Sunshine CP dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. Seahawks will meet Mountaineers (#12) in the next round. Sunshine CP will play against Rollers (#7) and hope to secure a win.
