Regular Season Round 1: Spojnia - Start 70-65

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Start (0-1) on the court of Spojnia Stargard. Visitors were defeated by Spojnia Stargard 70-65. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Start won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spojnia Stargard forced 19 Start turnovers. Forward Kacper Mlynarski (202-92) stepped up and scored 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Tomasz Snieg (190-89) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Spojnia Stargard players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Armani Moore (193-94, college: Tennessee) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Kacper Borowski (205-94) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Start's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Spojnia Stargard will play against Trefl (#16) in Sopot in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Start will play at home against Anwil (#7) to get more than just one victory in their record.
