The game in Montevideo supposed to be also quite interesting. Remeros played at the court of Montevideo. Remeros smashed Montevideo 108-28 on Saturday. Remeros held Montevideo to an opponent 17.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 59.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Remeros forced 45 Montevideo turnovers and outrebounded them 47-27 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Montevideo's players. Center Melina Zapata (180-89) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Pia Moyano (170-95) chipped in 21 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Remeros players scored in double figures. Forward Daiana Sosa responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Cynthia Diaz (158-94) scored 9 points and 5 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Remeros will face Yale in the next round. Montevideo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Capurro.
