Second defeat of league's leader Flames (7-2) against seventh ranked Suns (6-3) 69-59 was the most important game of the last round. Suns forced 23 Flames turnovers. Rebecca Motroni orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Jewel Williams (168-1) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Guard Paris Duffield (171) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Christina Boag (188-91) added 9 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Flames. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suns moved-up to sixth place in League. Flames at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Norths Bears. Flames will play next round against Magic trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Suns will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Hawks in Floreat.
