Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Rollers (4-2) outplayed 11th ranked Pirates (1-6) in Runcorn 84-47 on Sunday. Rollers forced 19 Pirates turnovers and outrebounded them 50-28 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Kisha Lee (182-85, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Sarah Ambrose contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Rollers' coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Center Amanda Beatson (193-81) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and New Zealand forward Savannah Au (175-96) added 7 points in the effort for Pirates. Rollers maintains fourth position in League with 4-2 record. Loser Pirates keep the eleventh place with six games lost. Rollers will have a break next round. Pirates will play at home against Seahawks (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
