Very expected game in Mandurah where 14th ranked Magic (1-11) was crushed by eighth ranked Flames (7-5) 119-54 on Friday. Flames forced 28 Magic turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Magic's players. Point guard Ryan Godfrey (187-90, college: UWG) stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 assists for the winners and forward Travis Durnin (201-98) chipped in 20 points. Five Flames players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Aaron Kearing with 16 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Connor Richards (183, college: Luther) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flames moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Magic keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Flames will face league's leader Senators in Perth in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Magic will play at home against Suns (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
