Local Leagues top team - Senators (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Eagles (3-9) in Morley 103-74. Senators forced 26 Eagles turnovers and outrebounded them 49-37 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and naturalized Sudanese forward Ngor Manyang (200-93) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Kieran Berry (183-99) with 12 points and 8 assists and forward Shaquille Maharaj (196, college: Camosun) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eagles' coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Senators maintains first place in League with 11-1 record. Loser Eagles keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Senators will face Flames (#7) in Rockingham in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Eagles will play on the road against Giants (#8) in Kalgoorlie and hope to win that game.
